Volunteers are welcome as individuals, groups and for special events!

Individual volunteers:

• minimum 12 years old with an adult or 15 years old on their own
• Greeter Volunteers: students and short-term volunteers help welcome zoo guests at the main entrance (Volunteer Waiver required)
• Regular Volunteers: serve as Zoo Ambassadors, Farm, Butterfly or Aviary monitors, and work side by side with Education and Animal Care staff (Volunteer Application, Orientations, TB test and Background check required)

Group volunteers:

• Special Events: service groups can help make our special events extra special with preparation and running stations
• Small Groups: community organizations working towards skill building
• Corporate Groups: service day opportunities
