Dirt pathway renovations
Pathways at the front of the zoo will be under construction through August.
To improve accessibility, the pathways connecting zoo entry to the playground area, children’s zoo, and zoo primate area are under construction to replace dirt with concrete. The improvements will also include more lighting and decorative elements.
No animal habitats or other zoo attractions are closed due to pathway construction, but it may take a a little bit longer to get from zoo entry to the rest of the zoo due to using temporary, alternate pathways. The large equipment used during pathway construction may result in more dust and noise than usual.

Zoo closing early on Saturday, August 16th
Santa Ana Zoo will be closed early for general admission on Saturday, August 16th, to prepare for our annual Zoofari fundraiser. Please note that general admission and zoo member entry will be end at 2 p.m., and exits will close at 3 p.m.
