Flight – A live butterfly experience
Flight – A live butterfly experience is open for the season.
Come to the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park Visit and visit Flight – a live butterfly experience! The over-2,000-square-foot habitat is lushly planted with pollinator-attracting flowers and filled with hundreds of tropical butterflies representing dozens of species from Central, South, and North America. Learn about these winged wonders through educational signage, and study the butterfly life cycle in the nearby emergence chamber. New butterflies emerge daily, and we encourage visitors to consider membership so they can visit multiple times. Flight is scheduled to remain open through September, weather permitting. This park project was made possible with City of Santa Ana youth benefit improvement funds.
