Zoomobile
The Zoomobile is an exciting live animal presentation brought directly to your class. The one-hour program provides an unusual educational experience blending scientific knowledge with intimate opportunities to study animals. Presentation topics are geared to follow the California State Science Standards for each grade level. A selection from thirteen species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates allows for animal contact and discussion of natural behaviors, animal adaptations, habitats, ecological status and conservation needs.
The Zoomobile program usually includes five animals. Teachers receive the Zoomobile guide with lesson plans and animal fact sheets. The cost of a presentation in Orange County is $90 for a class of 30 students ($120 in Los Angeles County). Assembly programs for large groups (no animal contact) are $150 per presentation.
