The term wallaby is reserved for smaller species of kangaroo. The wallaby comes from eastern New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and New Zealand.
The wallaby is nocturnal and eats leaves of shrubs, bushes, ferns, and grasses. They are excellent jumpers and swimmers. Baby wallabies are called "joeys."
