Please help support the Small Animal Health Care Facility Rebuild and other Zoo projects.
That was the unusual request made in 1952 by Joseph Prentice, the founder of the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park. The Santa Ana Zoo now occupies 20 acres and hosts more than 270,000 people annually. Along with at least fifty monkeys, you will find a rain forest, endangered species, an aviary, an electrical train and children's zoo right in the middle of the Orange County urban jungle.
The Zoo also offers exciting educational programs for teachers, parents, grandparents and students of all ages. It is a fun place for your whole family to enjoy and rediscover the wonder of the natural world together.
To provide all these creatures with homes and the community with the opportunity to participate, once a year the jungle is turned into a dazzling evening of celebrities and entertainment called Zoofari. To learn more about this and other exciting events and opportunities, take a virtual tour of this special place.
Leave your passport at home and follow the trail of 50 monkeys to this "Emerald Oasis."
